Parkvale History

Parkvale was originally known as Parkvale Estates. It was developed in 1905 by the firm Michener Carscallen. With its distinct boundaries including the old Canadian National Railway right-of-way on the west, Waskasoo Creek and the escarpment on the east, Ross Street on the north and the old Fairgrounds on the south, the area developed into a very unique and cohesive neighbourhood. Parkvale is now surrounded by a set of beautiful parks and its strong sense of community endures to this day. More history…
